Located in Greenwood, Western Australia, we started knowSTRENGTH as we observed a gap in the fitness industry.

​

Sound knowledge in biomechanics and human anatomy is the cornerstone to moving pain-free so why are we looking at the weights for strength training and not assessing how our joints and muscles in our body moves and feels.

These are all valid concerns for strength training. Uncertainty breeds fears. Overcome fear with knowledge. 

 

Knowledge of your body and understanding movement fundamentals is an everlasting foundation. It creates structure and establishes limits, so you know when to push and when to back off during training. Therefore, creating confidence in your ability both at the gym and in life.

At knowSTRENGTH, building that foundation begins from the feet then the ankles, knees and up. Each joint has a function and your muscles should be taking most of the load so that you are safe and move with intention.

There is no single right way. Only ways that work for you. 

 

Everyone has different life experiences and interprets information differently. A stability cue would work for someone else and not for you.

 

Coaching is a collaborative process to discover what works best for you to move pain free and with no restrictions.

 

Collaborative coaching also identifies exercise suitability for the individual for their goals. Like any strong relationship, it takes time but it is important in creating a safer and effective training environment.

 

Time and patience is needed to get it right. There are no shortcuts or quick fixes during strength training.
